Today, the Dutch national cycling championship was in town, and they were near my house as well. I took some pictures.

I think I'm burned out. Talking about burning, there apparently had been a fire in the street where I work. Fire trucks, police, blah. In a way, I was a bit disappointed that our office didn't burn down, taking some troubles away from my life. Ah well. Today is day A. ("What do you mean, Haggis? Day A? You crazy? It's Tuesday, man!") Yes, my children, day Z will be the last. In other words, if I'm not miscalculating, then I have 26 workdays left (including today). In other news: painting plan of my room has changed, now I have blue and yellow walls. Pictures of the new house coming soon, not yet (sorry).

Sigh. I don't know why there is still such a thing as Microsoft. It's making my life miserable right now. Windows XP introduced an error into my Visual Basic programme, that I have resolved. Only, the customer lost data because of the error before I could make an update, meaning that they have to enter this again, which is a few days' work. Now, I don't give a damn about my customers, but I'm of course being held responsible. Can't blame them for that, though, but it's still damn annoying. Oh well, a little over five weeks and I'll be out of this mess.

I have been to The Matrix Reloaded today. What a good movie. Not great, good. But good in a really fantastic way. It was solid. Not overdone - although parts of the freeway scene were just a tiny bit too computerized. Overall it was a great experience, though. The music was very pleasant, and especially the dance music was kerazy. I took some pics of the cinema with my Palm (yes, I'm almost creating a photoblog here, and I'll soon post some pics of the new house, where I was Tuesday evening). Oh, and the end was nicely done, with the TO BE CONCLUDED thing. Very unexpected, very nice. Picture time.

All right, so there's one and a half month to go until I'm free. If work is a hairball, then I'm a cat (I recently thought that up, and I just had to put it here). I've decided that I don't care anymore. I'm stressed, customers keep complaining, the air conditioning is making me sick, as well as the nicotine; I'm grossly underpaid, and I can't concentrate. I don't care if the boss fires me, I don't care if co-workers or other people press me to work, I just refuse. I'll do what's necessary to make it look like I work hard, but that's all. Health over job. I've worked hard enough for those last two years, and now I'm really thinking of myself, and myself alone. Screw work. I just have to survive the Tour de France, and then I'm off. Let me calculate how many days that is... I'm quitting the 31st of July. Now it's June 17. This year I work 7 months. Leave days: 7/12 * 25 = 14 (rounded). I already took 12, so that's two leave days left. From now until July 31 (excluding today) is 32 workdays. Minus the 2 leave days, is 30 days of hell to go. How bad can that possibly be?

Er, I don't have very much to say, sorry. I'm still here though. Oh yeah, I've been playing The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and I dare say, it's the best GameCube game yet. The puzzles are perfect, gameplay is greatly varied, graphics are stunning. I didn't think they could do better after Super Mario Sunshine, but they did. Yay for Nintendo. I also hope that Mojo will be back soon, and I guess I should plug my own site: CLICK HERE FOR MY SITE!!! PLZ D00D K TNX LOL LMAO!!!11 Thanks for reading, and see y'all later.

I'm getting so sick of Microsoft's security updates. It's totally unacceptable to provide customers with software that has so many security flaws. If it were only bugs - those are bad enough - only one application would be affected. But now, something you should be able to use to improve your life, can actually make things worse - much worse. Security is becoming the most important concern in computing these days, and we should give Microsoft a signal that what they're doing is just wrong. Use other browsers, like Mozilla or Opera. Don't let your life be led by Microsoft, but stand up to them when you can. One day, Open Source will take over the world. Just not yet.
